Unicaja Edufinet Project has organized a new financial education online workshop, in collaboration with the University of Jaen (UJA), aimed at university students of non-financial degrees

The Edufinet Project, promoted by Unicaja Banco and Fundación Unicaja, has recently organized a new financial education online workshop, in collaboration with the University of Jaen (UJA), addressed to university students of non-financial degrees. The goal of this workshop is to teach students the keys of the financial world and to provide them with basic knowledge to act autonomously when facing financial decisions.

 

Around 60 students have attended this two-hour training session, where they have received information about importance and usefulness of financial education in nowadays society and on the Edufinet Project.

 

The workshop has also addressed topics related to the financial system, decision-making and banking products for savings and investing, with a very practical and useful approach.

 

With more than 15 years of history, the Edufinet Project is a financial education programme pioneering in Spain, whose work for the promotion and dissemnination of financial education has been recognized with several awards.

 

 

Strong support to online training

 

Edufinet is promoting the organization of webinars to be broadcasted on its YouTube channel (channel: Proyecto Edufinet). These webinars are intended to be held weekly and their live streaming seeks to continue improving the financial literacy of citizens.

 

In that line, since last year, the Edufinet Project has participated in remote sessions and has posted several interviews on its YouTube channel. It has also organized online the final of the 11th Financial Olympics, which put an end to the 11th Conferences on Financial Education for Young People, as well as roundtable discussions and other activities which can be viewed on the Project’s YouTube channel.

 

Likewise, the 3rd Financial Education Congress was held remotely from 16 to 20 November. It registered a participation of 500 people and the collaboration of over 60 experts from different fields.

 

In the exercise of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), during this period Edufinet has continued to make available several online resources to keep in contact with citizens. To that end, it has got the website www.edufinet.com and two specific portals (Edufiemp, for business owners and entrepreneurs, and Edufinext, for young people), as well as a YouTube channel and accounts on Twitter and Facebook.
