Unicaja Banco sponsors Startup Europe Smart Agrifood Summit as part of its commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship in the agrifood sector

These days, professionals and agrifood and tech companies will attend this event, as well as startups, universities, researchers and representatives of public administrations, with the goal of creating innovative meeting points for the European agrifood sector.

 

Unicaja Banco’s sponsorship of this event falls within its commitment to farming sector and agribusinesses. In particular, the bank has a stand to receive the participants interested in knowing its products and services.

 

Unicaja Banco is a firm believer in innovation as a key element for the growth and sustainability of the agrifood sector, and therefore it collaborates as sponsor at Startup Europe Smart Agrifood Summit, a pioneering event to be held today and tomorrow at Malaga Trade Fair and Congress Center (Fycma). These days, professionals and agrifood and tech companies will attend this event, as well as startups, universities, researchers and representatives of public administrations.

 

The event, organized by Fycma and by the European Foundation for Innovation (Intec), will receive participants from 19 countries and more than 50 investors from the UK, Belgium, USA, Israel, France, Portugal and Spain, will have more than 200 institutions in the networking area, more than 30 exhibiting businesses and more than 350 represented companies, more than 80 startups, more than 600 scheduled meetings and over 100 speakers. All of the previous with the goal of creating innovative meeting points in the European agrifood sector.

 

The event, whose opening today has been attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, is an international meeting point on agrifood innovation and entrepreneurship, and it intends to emphasize the importance of digitalization for the agrifood sector, especially relevant in Spain and in the EU.

 

Unicaja Banco’s sponsorship of Startup Europe Smart Agrifood Summit falls within its commitment to the farming sector and agribusiness. The financial institution considers essential to support the required digital transformation to achieve future sustainability in this area and to continue meeting its social and environmental commitments.
