Unicaja Banco organizes a Workshop on Video Games for Parents, to be held in Salamanca on Friday

This activity seeks to raise awareness among parents on the good use that young people and teenagers should make of new technologies and videogames.

Unicaja Banco has reinforced its presence in the videogame industry in collaboration with Kaiju Entertainment, leading company in the ‘Gamer’ sector.

 

The Bank’s support to these initiatives falls within its interest in supporting the educational and leisure offer for the youth in the field of new technologies.

 

Unicaja Banco wants to be closer to families and to the youth, usual consumers of these leisure activities, and it supports entrepreneurship in emerging business models.

 

Unicaja Banco is reinforcing its presence in the video game industry in collaboration with Kaiju Entertainment, leading company in the ‘Gamer’ sector. Under the agreement entered into between both institutions, Unicaja Banco participates as sponsor in a series of events organized by the company, such as a workshop on responsibility, content and parental control, to be held on 19 October in Salamanca, at 18:00, in the assembly hall of the Bank in Plaza de Los Bandos.

 

This workshop to be organized in Salamanca and aimed at parents will focus on the current trends in video games, the benefits they bring in different competencies and the most recommended games according to the children’s age. The speech will be given by Javier Ramos Fernández, CEO of Kaiju Entertainment, leading company in the video games sector and with more than 10 years of experience in the field, organizing technology fairs and festivals.

 

Video games have become one of the favorite leisure activities for young people, but they are much more than a simple entertainment. Titles for smartphones and tables, virtual reality, online multiplayer games, game consoles… video games are a broad, rich and varied enough media that can bring many benefits if they are used in the appropriate way.

 

Support to an emerging sector

 

Unicaja Banco’s support to these initiatives falls within its interest in supporting those actions aimed at improving the educational and leisure offer for young people, as well as at the promotion of activities related to entertainment and new technologies. It is also part of the actions developed by the Bank within the framework of digital transformation that it fosters.

 

This strategic alliance falls within the Bank’s will to be closer to families and to the youngest public, usual consumer of this leisure activities, as well as within its commitment to support entrepreneurship and new emerging business models paying special attention to young digital talent.

 

Within the framework of this collaboration, Unicaja Banco will offer financial and non-financial products and services to generate business lines and to meet the needs of all the agents involved in the ‘Gamer’ sector (companies, entrepreneurs, players, professionals, influencers…) to facilitate the development of their professional activities.

 

Also, the institution expands its commitment to all the educational activities and events promoted by Kaiju through the Escuela Superior de Videojuegos y Arte Digital (EVAD, Higher School of Video Games and Digital Art), putting at their disposal a Unicaja grant to cover 50% of the cost of its master’s programme, as well as financing for all of their educational offer. It also supports the work of Next eSport, center dedicated to e-sports, with the sponsorship of all the activities carried out there, as well as the support to the new specialized center La Fábrica del Videojuego (The Video Game Factory), a training center offering diplomas in videogame creation (‘Técnico en creación de videojuegos’ –Technical diploma in video game creation- and ‘Técnico expert en creación de videojuegos –Expert technical diploma in video game creation-).
