Unicaja Banco and Garántia sign a new collaboration agreement to boost financing to SMEs and to the self-employed and launches a credit line of 60 million euros

Unicaja Banco shows once more its support to SMEs and to the self-employed with the signature of a collaboration agreement with Garántia, the Sociedad de Avales y Garantías de Andalucía, S.G.R., to put at the disposal of this group a financing facility of €60 million, with the joint and several guarantee provided by the Andalusian mutual guarantee scheme.

Under this agreement, Unicaja Banco makes available products and services especially designed for these groups, on advantageous terms, with the aim of boosting business initiatives and contributing to job creation.

 

Unicaja Banco’s support to businesses and to the self-employed falls within its activity as financial institution focused on retail and proximity banking, and within its role to foster the economic development, especially in the areas where it operates.

 

Unicaja Banco has signed a new financial collaboration agreement with Garántia, Sociedad de Avales y Garantías de Andalucía, S.G.R., to make available to Andalusian SMEs and self-employed workers a financing facility of €60 million to be applied in credit transactions formalized within one year from the date of signature of the agreement, with extraordinary terms and interest rate conditions, and with the joint and several guarantee provided by the Andalusian mutual guarantee scheme.

 

Under this agreement, Unicaja Banco and Garántia make available to these groups a wide range of specific products and services, under advantageous terms, in order to boost business initiatives and to contribute to creating and maintaining jobs.

 

The agreement, which has been signed by Unicaja Banco’s Chairman, Manuel Azuaga, and by Garántia’s President, Javier González de Lara, brings to SMEs in Andalusia a wide range of specific products and services on advantageous terms to support the development of their activities.

 

Unicaja Banco’s support to SMEs and to the self-employed falls within its activity as a financial institution focused on retail and proximity banking, playing a significant role in the promotion of local development. Businesses in general and SMEs in particular continue to be one of the key objectives of Unicaja Banco’s financing policy. In this sense, the institution is active in providing funding to these groups, essential to boost the economy and job creation.

 

Garántia (www.sgrgarantia.es) has among its main functions to provide businesses with access to financing on advantageous terms by granting guarantees, as well as to support the Andalusian business fabric with information and financial advice through its eight branches in the Andalusian provinces.

 

Products and services offered

 

Within the framework of the agreement reached between Unicaja Banco and Garántia, SMEs and the self-employed, regardless of their legal form, may apply to the credit facility.

 

Unicaja Banco sets a financing facility to be used in transactions which have a joint and several guarantee given by Garántia, such as:

  • Financing of transactions under agreements entered into with the Official Credit Institute (Instituto de Crédito Oficial, ICO).
  • Loans for investments, acquisition of premises, industrial warehouses and other purposes.
  • Credit account.
  • Equipment leasing.
