This training activity, which has been held remotely, has been developed within the framework of the collaboration agreement that the Edufinet Project has with the UMA for the promotion of financial education programmes among the citizens, and, in this case, among Baccalaureate students.

In particular, this workshop has registered a participation of twenty gifted Baccalaurate students, who have received an overall view of the financial products and services currently available in the market, as well as other topics related to the financial system.

The activity has addressed topics such as variable income products, profitability and risks of shares or their valuation and operation. All of these topics have been explained in a practical manner through a simulation game. As a complement to these contents, the students have also received specific training on financial calculations.

This way, the project intends to enhance transparence, security and responsibility in the development of the relationships between citizens and financial intermediaries, leading, therefore, to higher market efficiency.

GuíaMe-AC-UMA is an enrichment programme based on workshops covering all the knowledge fields and developed by researchers and PhDs lecturers of the UMA, aimed at high-school pre-university students identified as gifted.
