Talavera de la Reina (Toledo) has hosted a workshop on entrepreneurship aimed at entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs under the financial education agreement entered into Toledo Chamber of Commerce and the Edufinet Project, promoted by Unicaja Banco and Fundación Unicaja, with the funding and sponsorship of Funcas. Twenty people participated in this workshop to learn how to launch a business project in Talavera de la Reina.
The town’s Mayor, Tita García Élez, and the Councillor for Business Economic Promotion, Paloma Sánchez, attended the presentation of the workshop together with the Vice-Chairman of Federación Empresarial Toledana (Fedeto, Toledo Business Federation), Javier de Antonio, and the Head of the Chamber of Commerce in Talavera, Milagros Aceituno.
The participants in the workshop have learnt the keys to launch a business, with special focus on the financial topics to consider, and with a financial education approach.
The development of workshops and actions to increase the financial literacy of entrepreneurs in the province is one of the goals of the agreement signed four years ago between the Toledo Chamber of Commerce and the Edufinet Project.
Unicaja, one of the first institutions in Spain to launch such a financial education initiative, is one of the most active agents in the areas of financial education and inclusion, in the exercise of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its commitment to society.
Toledo Chamber of Commerce intends to boost entrepreneurship and the development of entrepreneurial initiatives, with special focus on young people and the promotion of equality, as well as to improve the participation of women entrepreneurs.
