Unicaja Banco sponsors the fifth edition of the Real Madrid Foundation’s Circuit of Charity Runs, which will start in Madrid on 30 January and which will also take place in other towns such as Alhaurín de la Torre (Malaga), with the goal of promoting the values of Real Madrid Foundation and of contributing to its projects of social inclusion through sport.
The first run, called ‘5th Charity Run of Real Madrid Foundation by Unicaja’ has been presented this Tuesday, online from the Real Madrid City Auditorium, with the participation of Julio González, Managing Director of Real Madrid Foundation; Álvaro Arbeloa, Ambassador of Real Madrid C.F. and of the event; Ana Echenique, Unicaja Banco’s Head of Cabinet of the CEO, and Jaime Cue, Co-founder of Gold Running, as promoters of the circuit.
The first race will take place on 30 January and will feature circuits for children and for adults, as it is a run open to the participation of families. There will be races for children, for those aged between 4 and 15 years, and two specific circuits -5k and 10k- for participants over 16 years of age, which will run through well-known places of the Spanish capital, such as Puerta de Alcalá, Cibeles, Colón or Paseo de la Castellana.
Registration is open at https://runningfundacionrealmadrid.es/ and Unicaja Banco’s customers will enjoy a 10% discount in the fee.
Promotion of values and social inclusion
The Circuit of Charity Runs is conceived with the goal of contributing to the different projects of Real Madrid Foundation, by promoting the values inherent in sports, favoring the comprehensive education of children, youth and the social inclusion of those which are most vulnerable.
Unicaja Banco is Real Madrid’s official bank since last season and collaborates since 2012 with Real Madrid Foundation in some of its projects for the integration of socially disadvantaged groups through sports, such as the social and sport school in Quinta de Asturias or the programs at prisons.
With the sponsorship of these charity runs, Unicaja Banco reflects its commitment to the promotion of sports and its potential as driver of social integration, in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) labor.
