The Edufinet Project, promoted by Unicaja Banco and Fundación Unicaja, and the Academy of Social and Environmental Sciences of Andalusia have agreed to continue working together to promote financial education in the Community.
The Head of the Edufinet Project, José M. Domínguez; the Director General of Fundación Bancaria Unicaja, Sergio Corral, and the President of the Academy of Social and Environmental Sciences of Andalusia, Antonio Pascual, have signed a collaboration agreement to contribute to the improvement of citizens' financial literacy.
With this new collaboration agreement, the Edufinet Project and the Academy of Social and Environmental Sciences of Andalusia will promote financial education actions to provide citizens with the appropriate tools in this area.
Edufinet has been promoting financial education actions for nearly 20 years, currently counting on the collaboration of 17 universities and more than a dozen business institution and organizations, in addition to a work team made up of around 80 members, who participate in this task on a volunteering basis.

This work has been recognized with several awards. Since its launch, almost 260,000 people have participated in the various seminars, workshops, courses and conferences it has organized. The Edufinet Project web pages have so far registered more than 20 million accumulated visits, with accesses from almost 180 countries.
The Academy of Social and Environmental Sciences of Andalusia is made up of personalities from the corporate, scientific, cultural, university and communication worlds and is the first academy with territorial scope throughout the Autonomous Community.
Its aims include the study and research of Social, Economic, Business and Environmental Sciences through the organization of seminars, chairs, colloquiums, courses, conferences, competitions, awards and publications, thus contributing to economic and social development and to the defense and conservation of the natural and urban environment in Andalusia.
