Unicaja allocated a total of 201 million euros in 2023 to finance renewable energy projects (photovoltaic, solar thermal and wind). With the mobilization of green financing, the bank seeks to help its customers to address the transition to an environmentally sustainable economy.
So far, this type of financed initiatives has resulted in a total portfolio of 49 renewable energy operations, representing an installed capacity of 8,750 megawatts and the mobilization, especially in the last three years, of more than 500 million euros.
In 2023, Unicaja has contributed to financing projects with an installed capacity of 5,037 megawatts, through 15 operations, formalized or authorized, allowing the installation of 2,736 megawatts of photovoltaic, 2,251 megawatts of wind power and 50 solar thermal projects.
The boost to these projects is part of Unicaja's strategy to fight climate change and promote sustainable development, which also includes a wide range of green products. The aim is to contribute to achieving zero net emissions by 2050.

In fact, the financial institution offers its customers a wide range of sustainable financial products and services, such as financing for the installation of self-consumption photovoltaic panels; green mortgage loans for energy-efficient properties; socially responsible investment funds; sustainable pension plans, or loans to homeowners' associations to improve energy efficiency.
