Unicaja is once again collaborating with the campaign through which the City Hall of Leon, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, is making available to citizens the fifth edition of the Bono-Consumo Program, to support and revitalize sales in small businesses and the city's hospitality industry.

The presentation ceremony held this morning was attended by the mayor of the city, José Antonio Diez, the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Javier Vega, and Unicaja’s territorial manager of Commercial Banking, Marga Serna, among other representatives of several institutions and institutions.

This Bonos-Consumo initiative was created during the Covid-19 pandemic to alleviate the economic situation faced by families and small businesses, and is maintained due to the "great success" and demand from the people of Leon.

From today, the Bonos-Consumo can be purchased on the website of the Chamber of Commerce of León: https://camaraleon.com/, where the list of participating establishments can also be consulted.

The mechanics of operation is simple. Once the voucher has been downloaded, consumers will have until 30 September, included, to redeem the vouchers on their purchases or expenses, and their use is compatible with any type of discount, offer or rebate available in the establishment for the product they wish to purchase.

A maximum voucher redemption limit of 30,000 euros is established for each of the retail establishments, and a maximum voucher redemption limit of 15,000 euros is established for each of the hospitality establishments. Once this amount has been reached, the establishment will no longer be able to accept and redeem vouchers and will be removed from the updated list of participating establishments.

The discount vouchers will be associated to an ID card. In order for a voucher to be applied to a purchase or expense, the only requirement is to present the ID card before payment at the establishment itself, as well as the discount voucher in printed or digital format. Each card can be used to purchase up to 150 euros in vouchers, which can be spent either in stores or in hotels and restaurants.

There are three types of vouchers, which will offer a 25% discount on purchases or drinks, with a nominal value of 5, 20 and 50 euros (in these cases the citizen contributes 3.75 euros, 15 and 37.50, respectively, and the rest is assumed by the City Hall).

A person may redeem more than one voucher for the same purchase or expense. The list of participating establishments where vouchers can be redeemed will be published on the campaign website, and each of these establishments will have a badge identifying it as such.
