Unicaja and Asociación Agraria de Jóvenes Agricultores (Asaja) Málaga collaborate one more year in the framework of the campaign of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), with the aim of facilitating the application procedures and management of these aids to farmers and livestock breeders in the province of Malaga.

This has been agreed in an agreement signed recently by Unicaja’s head of Commercial Banking in Malaga, Francisco José Reguera Nieto, and the president of Asaja Malaga, Baldomero Bellido.

Under this agreement, both institution commit to guaranteeing a quality service in the management and advance payment of aid, in addition to meeting the financial needs of farmers and livestock breeders.

As part of the CAP campaign, Unicaja offers its customers the possibility of receiving the advance payment of the amount with loans on favorable terms, as well as advice, management and personalized processing of their application files.

Specifically, the bank has set up a line of pre-approved loans of around 800 million euros. This offer is also extended with loans for the modernization and improvement of farms.

Applicants can apply for the aid through Asaja Malaga, taking advantage of the resources and technical staff available to this organization. And, in addition, those who arrange for the direct payment of their application with Unicaja will be able to have the amount of the aid in advance, in addition to benefiting from various financial advantages.

Other advantages

With the collaboration of Asaja Malaga, farmers and livestock breeders in the province of Malaga are offered greater advantages in relation to advice, management and personalized processing of these files.

Asaja Málaga, established in 1993, is the largest professional association of farmers and livestock breeders in the province of Malaga, representing the professional interests of more than 5,500 members, 90% of the total agricultural area of Malaga. As an independent entity, its objectives are the representation, management, defense and promotion of the professional, individual and collective interests of its members.

Unicaja's participation in the CAP agricultural aid campaign in the province of Malaga, especially for olive groves, sheep, goats, cattle and arable crops, is part of its deep-rooted commitment to support agriculture, which translates into the provision of services, both financial and protection and advice.

The institution continues with its firm commitment to be the financial support that the agricultural sector needs in order to take advantage of new challenges and opportunities and obtain the best performance from its work.

Broad range of products and services

In addition to the advance payment of CAP aid, Unicaja has a wide and varied range of products and services available to farmers and livestock breeders, such as agricultural insurance, the Univerde card, which offers the possibility of making payments more flexible, and its traditional line of financing for intensive crops, among others.
