Unicaja has once again sponsored the Concurso Hípico Nacional de Saltos de Obstáculos, organized by the Club Hípico Ciudad de Salamanca. This sporting event, now in its 74th edition, was attended by thousands of people over the weekend, many of them young people, as proof of the important love of horses in the whole province of Salamanca. This equestrian event has also included this year for the first time an equestrian competition of jumping with ponies, thus giving visibility to the youth of the equestrian world.
The Unicaja Award, part of the different jumping exercises of the competition, was given to Roberto Turnes Rey and his horse, Coolio, who received the trophy from Manuel Rubio, Head of Commercial Banking of Unicaja in Castilla y León - South.
This sporting tournament enjoys a great tradition in the national equestrian field. It is an event endorsed by the Real Federación Hípica Española, and is included among the most emblematic equestrian competitions of the Consejo Superior de Deportes.
Unicaja's sponsorship of this initiative responds to its firm commitment to the promotion of sport and its values, giving visibility to the different disciplines and promoting sport from the grassroots level, especially in the areas where it operates, such as Castilla y León.
