Unicaja, a financial institution of reference in Castilla y León, is committed, among other values, to teamwork, effort and the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits. These characteristics are also part of the objectives of the eighth edition of the Carrera de Empresas (Companies Race), organized by El Norte de Castilla, which this Sunday ran through the historic center of Valladolid, with the Campo Grande as the starting and finishing point. This year the participation record was broken, with 960 participants.

The bank, one more year sponsor of the race, has once again shown its support to this initiative, already consolidated in the sports calendar of Valladolid. As an entity that is close and closely linked to the regions where it operates, and in line with its Sustainability strategy, Unicaja is committed to values as significant as “effort, teamwork and the desire to excel”, as well as to promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging initiatives that can contribute to the development of its areas of operation.

This year, several colleagues who collaborate every day in Unicaja's branches in Valladolid put on their corporate green t-shirts, running shoes and took to the streets of Valladolid as a team, running the 6 kilometer distance planned by the organizers. Specifically, 12 Unicaja employees took part, divided into four teams of three members. One of these teams reached the podium, coming third in the women's classification.

These runners are “an example of collaboration inside and outside the workplace,” helping to cultivate relationships that go beyond the workplace.
