New measures to support those affected by the DANA, with the exemption of commissions for cash withdrawals at ATMs and for the maintenance of POS terminals in stores

These initiatives will remain in force until the end of the year and are included in the entity's plan to respond to the victims

Unicaja continues to show its support to its customers in the areas affected by the DANA and adds new measures, until the end of the year, such as the exemption, in the case of individuals, of the fee for debit cash withdrawals at ATMs of any network in the specially affected areas of the province of Valencia, Andalusia and Castilla-La Mancha, as well as, in the case of businesses, the fee for POS maintenance in these same locations.

 

The bank also facilitates the three-month moratorium (extendable) for loans to individuals, the self-employed and SMEs, and will adhere to the line of ICO guarantees aimed at financing the needs of companies and households affected by the DANA, measures approved, among others, by Royal Decree Law 6/2024, published last Wednesday in the Official State Gazette (BOE).

With the implementation of this plan of measures, Unicaja reiterates its commitment to its affected customers.

 

Other measures

 

Thus, this exemption from fees is added to the other measures already announced by Unicaja in the first days, aimed at its areas affected by the storm, especially the Valencian Community, Andalusia and Castilla-La Mancha, where there has been a loss of human lives and considerable material damage.

 

These measures include the following:

  • Special 0% financing line available for the financing, rehabilitation and replacement of properties, vehicles and machinery. It allows those affected to collect compensation from insurance companies in advance, as well as to repair their properties until they can receive aid from the Insurance Compensation Consortium (CCS) or from any public administration or dependent organisation.
  • Streamlining the processing of flood claims managed by the Insurance Compensation Consortium. Unicaja, together with Caser, facilitates the processing of these files before the CCS. In this regard, Caser has set up a telephone line (911553472) to speed up contact with the insurer.
  • Measures to make current loans more flexible.
  • Special financing lines, under preferential conditions, for farmers in the provinces of Malaga and Almeria.
  • Prioritising assistance to victims on telephone helplines.
  • Donations through bizum and digital banking.
