The Chamber of Commerce of León, the University of León and Unicaja have joined forces to launch the first edition of the Award for Academic Research Works on the Internationalization of León Companies. This initiative, which also has the collaboration of the Social Council of the University of León, aims to reflect and encourage the production and exchange of knowledge to strengthen the foreign market.
The presentation of this new project took place today, in an event attended by the president of the Chamber of Commerce of León, Javier Vega; the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of León, José Ángel Miguel Ávila; the president of the Social Council, Javier Cepedano; and the regional manager of Unicaja in Castilla y León North, Marga Serna.
The contest is open to University students, researchers, entrepreneurs, project promoters and anyone else who wishes to contribute to the internationalization of companies in León. The complete rules to participate in this award can be found on the Chamber's website (www.camaraleon.com).
The winner of the first prize will receive 4,000 euros in cash, and there are also two runners-up prizes of 2,000 euros each. The deadline for submitting research will open on 1 March 2025 and will end on 1 April.
Unicaja has a long-standing relationship with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of León, collaborating in various initiatives, including sponsorship of the Export Awards. In addition, it has had a collaboration agreement with the University since 1977.
