Unicaja and the University of Oviedo have renewed their commitment to collaboration with the signing of a new agreement under which the bank continues to support and finance the awards that the academic institution presents on the occasion of the celebration of its patron Saint Catherine of Alexandria, on 25 November. Specifically, the bank will present the Unicaja Award for the Best Academic Record of the University of Oviedo, in addition to the awards for the best records of the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management and the Bachelor's Degree in Economics.
The agreement was signed during a meeting held in the Historic Building of the University of Oviedo, which was attended by the head of Unicaja's Business Banking-North, José Marcos Fernández, and the vice-rector for Transfer and Business Relations at the University of Oviedo, Susana Luque.
José Marcos Fernández said that “it is an honor for Unicaja to accompany these students and to collaborate with the University through these awards, which value the effort, perseverance and excellence of these students and the academic institution”.
For her part, Susana Luque, vice-rector for Transfer and Business Relations at the University of Oviedo, celebrated the fact that the bank has renewed its commitment “to the recognition of academic excellence and support for young talent”. “This agreement, which allows us to finance the awards for the best academic records of our university, reflects the value of collaboration between institutions to promote quality education and foster social progress. We thank Unicaja for its continued commitment to the training and future of our students,” added the vice-rector.
This agreement is part of Unicaja's support for young people and, above all, its interest in promoting and facilitating access to university education as a tool for their future integration into the labor market.
