Unicaja y Extraval, Sociedad de Garantía Recíproca (SGR) Extremeña de Avales, have renewed an agreement to provide guaranteed financing to SMEs in the region, thus helping to boost their activity.

Unicaja's regional manager in Extremadura, Julio Morales, and the president of Extraval, Miguel Ángel Mendiano, have signed the agreement with the aim of continuing a collaboration that has been in place for more than twenty years to benefit small and medium-sized companies in Extremadura through a complete offering of specific financing to support the development of the sector.

The lines of financing included in the agreement are aimed at credit transactions, with extraordinary terms and interest rates, with the joint and several guarantee of the Extremadura SGR. Specifically, they include loans for investment, working capital and furniture leasing, as well as credit accounts, mainly for SMEs, the self-employed and entrepreneurs.

Unicaja's aim is to collaborate with SMEs in Extremadura by providing financial products and services necessary for the performance of their activities, being aware of the importance that this group has for the development of the Community.

Therefore, with this agreement, Unicaja and Extraval once again offer this group a complete financing offering, with advantageous conditions, to promote entrepreneurship and contribute to the creation of employment and the maintenance of jobs.

Commitment to SMEs

Unicaja's commitment to SMEs and the self-employed is part of its activity as a financial institution focused on the retail and proximity banking business, which plays an important role in promoting territorial development.

Therefore, as they play a key role in boosting the economy and creating jobs, SMEs and the self-employed continue to be one of the key objectives of Unicaja's financing policy. For this reason, it offers them special support, especially in the areas where it operates, among which Extremadura stands out.

Extraval SGR is a non-profit financial entity whose main objective is to provide SMEs in Extremadura with access to credit and to improve their financing conditions in general. This support is materialized through the provision of guarantees to banks and savings banks, among others.

The main advantage that Extraval brings to SMEs is the improvement of their negotiating capacity and the reduction of financial costs. In addition, this collaboration allows this group to benefit from credit facilities to which it would not have access on its own, since it lacks the guarantees required by the institutions.
