Unicaja joins one more year, within the framework of International Women's Day, Fundación Adecco in its social mission to promote the inclusion of women at risk of exclusion in Spain, through the joint development of activities that contribute to promoting their employability and equal opportunities for their incorporation into the labor market.
To this end, the bank has renewed its collaboration agreement with this foundation, which has been signed by the head of Communication and Image of Unicaja, Fernando Ríos, and the regional director of Fundación Adecco in Eastern Andalusia, Miguel Ángel de Pedro.
For 25 years, Fundación Adecco has been meeting the needs of women in vulnerable situations and promoting their social and labor inclusion through different employment programs, as well as that of other population groups with difficulties in accessing a job.
In this way, Unicaja is once again collaborating in the #EmpleoParaTodas program, which Fundación Adecco is developing to support the labor inclusion of women who have it most difficult, providing them with basic psychosocial support, enhancing their skills development and offering them guidance, intermediation and ongoing support to ensure their full inclusion in the labor market.
Under this collaboration, and within the framework of International Women's Day, the Women's Week 2025 is being held, whose objective is to reinforce the accompaniment of these women on their path to employment, as well as to involve and raise awareness among the business community in order to generate more inclusive work environments.
This initiative is in addition to others that have also been supported by Unicaja, such as the training and support actions for women victims of gender violence, as well as the publication of the twelfth Report on Gender Violence and Employment, which is prepared every year by Fundación Adecco for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, celebrated every November 25.
Unicaja’s commitment to equality and diversity
As part of its Sustainability policy, Unicaja has an Equality Plan, which reinforces equal opportunities between men and women as one of the bank’s traditional values. It also contemplates the application of specific measures that promote the balanced assumption of responsibilities and favor the balance between work and family life of its employees.
The bank also has a Protocol for the Prevention of Sexual and Gender-Based Harassment in the Workplace and provides its employees with procedures for dealing with victims of gender-based violence -originating outside the workplace- and for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Fundación Adecco
Fundación Adecco, established in 1999, is the result of the Corporate Social Responsibility assumed by the Adecco Group. Its main objective is the inclusion in the labor market of those people who, due to their personal characteristics, have more difficulties to find a job: disabled people, long-term unemployed people over 45 years old, people over 55 years old, women with unshared family responsibilities or victims of gender violence, as well as other people at risk of social exclusion.
